Women’s Animal Center is in urgent need of fosters for bottle-fed kittens

Posted

Women’s Animal Center is in urgent need of dedicated “Kitten Foster  Volunteers” to help with bottle-feeding newborns to less than 6-week-old shelter kittens and caring for them  in their homes until they are ready to be adopted into loving forever homes. These nursing kittens currently in the Center’s care are too young for adoption.

Fosters will need to be able to provide a separate room or space from any resident animals, as well as  transportation to and from Women’s Animal Center for necessary medical treatment. Additionally, foster  volunteers must live in Pennsylvania within a 20-mile radius of Women’s Animal Center.

Women’s Animal Center will provide a training session to help volunteers be successful foster parents as well  as a “Foster Starter Kit” with kitten care supplies. No experience is necessary. While fostering is a temporary  commitment, it truly is a lifesaving one. Foster Parents are essential for young kittens who are too young,  small, and fragile to survive without the attention, support, and compassionate care of dedicated volunteers.  Fostering a shelter animal is a wonderfully rewarding experience but is also a serious commitment. The  community’s help can make a big difference in these little ones’ lives.
