Every day, children in foster care face uncertainty, instability, and the trauma of being removed from their homes. In Mercer and Burlington Counties, more than 200 children are waiting for someone to stand by their side. You can be that someone.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties is a nonprofit organization that trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children involved in the child welfare system. CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge and serve as a consistent, caring presence for children navigating the complexities of foster care placement.
Our advocates come from all walks of life, but they share one thing in common: a deep commitment to making a difference. As a CASA volunteer, you’ll get to know a child’s unique story, collaborate with professionals, and ensure that their educational, emotional, and physical needs are met until they are placed in a safe, permanent home.
This summer, we're actively recruiting for our upcoming volunteer training class. Now is the perfect time to learn more and take the first step.
Attend an upcoming information session or visit www.casamb.org to learn how you can become an advocate.
